Details: We are offering products centered on three main themes, "Environmental Care," "Care for People, Communities, and Society," and "Recycling and Reuse Initiatives," and are launching the "DECARBO SCORE SELECTION" campaign (excluding some stores).
In conjunction with "Environment Month" in June, we have designated the period from Saturday, May 30, to Sunday, July 12, as "LOFT GREEN PROJECT MONTH." During this time, we will host a product exhibition and sale titled "LOFT GREEN PROJECT SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY & LIFE 2026" at all LOFT offline stores and our official NETSTORE across Japan.
Since the fall of 2021, LOFT has made the promotion of a sustainable society a key priority. Guided by the slogan of the "LOFT GREEN PROJECT, 'Using the Power of General Merchandise to Make Life and the Earth Happier'", we have consistently leveraged our general merchandise offerings to create opportunities that encourage people to start paying attention to environmental issues through small, everyday actions. We have planned and launched a variety of themed campaigns designed to help build a happy and sustainable lifestyle. During this year's key promotional month, "LOFT GREEN PROJECT MONTH", we will organise our store displays around three main themes: "Environmental Care", "Care for People, Communities, and Society", and "Recycling and Reuse Initiatives". Additionally, with "decarbonisation (carbon neutrality)" at its core, we will launch the "DECARBO SCORE SELECTION" campaign: This initiative visualises and utilises the carbon dioxide reduction rate of products and services to select 16 items from LOFT's current product lineup, calculate their "decarbonisation index", and feature them in a dedicated section within the store.
In addition to the "Container Recycling and Reuse Program" (i.e., the cosmetics container recycling project) launched in November 2021, LOFT introduced a new "Textile Recycling Project" in 2022. At the same time, we have partnered with other companies to promote "brand-specific cosmetics container recycling programs." With the assistance of PILOT Corporation, we have further expanded the scope of the "Pen Recycling and Reuse Program" and continue to advance these initiatives. Starting in late May of this year, select LOFT stores will begin using shopping baskets made from recycled pen materials.
In addition, to assist customers with hearing impairments, those who have experienced unfair treatment, or those who face communication difficulties while shopping, we introduced "communication boards" at all LOFT stores with staffed checkout counters starting this April. These boards combine text and images, allowing customers to complete the necessary communication at checkout simply by pointing, thereby overcoming communication barriers. The introduction of these communication boards was made possible by implementing excellent suggestions from our employees.
