UMEDA LOFT ended its 35 years of operation
in Chaya-Machi on April 30,
and officially relocated to the 6th floor of
Hanshin Department Store Umeda Main Store.
The grand opening of the new store will be held on
May 21st, and the concept of "LOFT Market NEO"
is used to create a new space full of
vitality and creativity for groceries,
bringing a richer shopping experience.
This time, we have not only popular new products
limited to LOFT, but also a co-branded series with the
Hanshin Tigers,
a Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) team,
grocery items inspired by vintage-style train tickets
(such as toweling handkerchiefs and sticky notes),
as well as original goodies created in collaboration
with local companies in Osaka, so there are multiple
surprises waiting for you to discover!
On May 20 (Tuesday), the eve of the opening,
we will also join hands with the Hanshin Tiger officials
and title the tournament at Hanshin Koshien Stadium

The new store is innovatively positioned with
"door curtains + orientation numbers."
The store is divided into east and west zones, with
directional signs over the shelves in the same space,
similar to a map, making it easier and more fluid to navigate.
The signage design utilizes the traditional Japanese
advertising font, Kanteiryu font (Edomoji),
to create a sense of a bustling marketplace
and a sense of atmosphere!

between the Hanshin Tigers and the Yomiuri Giants
